Meenakshi Dixit to shake her legs for Billa 2

While Hazel Keech aka Rose Dawn had spiced up Billa with an item number ‘Sei yedhavathu sei…,’ Meenakshi Dixit will be grooving for the special song in the second instalment of the forthcoming Tamil film. Well, grapevine is abuzz with the news that the makers of the film have zeroed in on her for the song.

After much deliberation, the movie bosses have signed Meenakshi Dixit for the item number in Billa 2. They reportedly considered quite a few actresses before roping in the actress. It is said that her recent item number in Telugu movie Dookudu, which created a rage in the Tollywood, had impressed them.
Meenakshi Dixit will be seen dancing with Ajith Kumar for the special song in Billa 2. They will shake their legs for the tune composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Apart from Ajith Kumar, Billa 2 features Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the lead roles. It is directed by Chakri Toleti.

Don 2′ in Tamil & Telugu!

Post ‘Ra.One’s release in Tamil and Telugu versions, it now looks like Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don’ series, ‘Don 2′ will also see a dubbed release in Tamil and Telugu with select multiplexes also screening the film’s 3D version.
This sequel is directed by Farhan Akhtar and is a sequel to SRK’s 2006 super hit, ‘Don’ which by itself was a tribute to the film ‘Don’ of 1978. ‘Don 2′ stars Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles with Lara Dutta, om Puri, Boman Irani and a host of other stars in pivotal roles.
Both 2D and 3D versions will be available for these dubbed versions as well. The film is gearing up to see a Christmas release internationally

Gautham completes 50% of ‘Neethane En Ponvasantham

Gautham Vasudev Menon is proving himself as a multi-tasker. Though he is busy filming the Hindi remake of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ and shooting his other project, ‘Neethane En Ponvasantham’ in three languages simultaneously besides producing ‘Thanga Meengal’, things are taking shape on a fast track for this ace director.
“I have completed 50% of Neethane En Ponvasantham. It is an interesting love story and all the three versions are coming up well,” says the big daddy of romantic films. The Tamil version of ‘NEP’ has Jiiva playing the protagonist while Samantha is the heroine in all the three languages.
On ‘Ek Deewana Tha’, the Hindi remake of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’, Gautham says, “Prateik and Amy Jackson fit well in the roles played by Simbu and Trisha respectively. I don’t want to compare Simbu with Prateik and Trisha with Amy. But I can say Prateik and Amy are as good as Simbu and Trisha are.”
Sources have it that AR Rahman has composed two new songs for ‘Ek Dheewana Tha’, which Gautham is planning to release in January next year. This will be followed by the release of ‘Neethane En Ponvasantham’. After that, the director will start shooting with Vijay for ‘Yohan Adhyayam Ondru’

‘Every human being is a warrior. He / she has to undergo certain struggles in life’. This universal truth forms the crux of Sasikumar’s forthcoming film ‘Poraali’, which is set to hit the screens soon.

The ‘Subramanyapuram’ director has produced this movie besides playing one of the lead roles, with his good friend Samuthirakani wielding the megaphone.
Popular Telugu hero Allari Naresh is playing an important role, while the film marks the comeback of Swathi of ‘Subramanyapuram’ fame. Vasundhara and Nivedha are also there. Music is by Sundar C Babu of ‘Nadodigal’ fame.
Recently Sasikumar declared that he would not release ‘Poraali’in Sri Lanka. He has requested others in the industry too to take a similar stand.
“An important income channel of Sri Lanka can be blocked if Kodambakkam (Tamil cinema) wants to do so. Cinema and tourism are the backbones of Sri Lankan economy. When the government there allows Tamil movies only after deleting pro-Tamil dialogues, why should we release our films there” he questions.
On ‘Poraali’, Sasikumar says, “Poraali is about four persons, who have to cross certain hurdles. All of them come together at one point of time. The rest has been told in a convincing and interesting way, or that is what I believe.”
Samuthirakani, clearing the air about the idea the movie’s title has created, says, “Though the title signifies struggle, there will be no violence in Poraali. But the scenes would make the audience feel the pain of violence.”
The director, who is now a popular actor too, adds: “My passion is to direct movies. But I like acting as well. I will balance both the trades. And I am happy to work with Sasikumar again and again. Our association will continue in future too. Poraali will prove this point after Subramanyapuram, Nadodigal and Easan.”
With these friends claiming high about their new venture, expectations are high on ‘Poraali’. The wait is set to end by the end of this month, when the film sees the light of the day. Welcome ‘Poraali’, we say.

Just yesterday IG had reported the status on '3's songs, the film that brings together Dhanush and Shruti Haasan under Aishwarya Dhanush's direction. And now a rough cut of a song crooned by Dhanush has leaked on the internet!

This song that goes 'Why this kola veri di...' has colloquial lyrics penned by
Dhanush who also sang this song that has been composed by debutant Anirudh. The song is in Tanglish, Tamil and English.

The rough cut made waves in the internet and youtube with fans going gaga over
Dhanush's new song. It may be mentioned that his two colloquial songs in 'Mayakkam Enna', 'Voda Voda...' and 'Kadhal En Kadhal...' received much response as well.

The audio launch of '3' is set to take place shortly in a grand scale while the film is touted to release for Pongal.
